Newb Questions
Bought it Sunday. Played single player some and did some Blitz co-op on line.
Kinda neat game. Blitz is a 3rd person Tower Defense game
Ok so here are my questions... i understand Blitz is different from Crossfire on tactics
Sponsership:
- What is the difference between Gold, Silver, and Bronze? I assume a Gold Rate of fire increase is larger than a Bronze rate of fire increase?
- Playing support I currently have Run Speed, Armor, and Regen. Any other suggestions?
Skills: As support I don't find myself using skills often so refresh rate isn't a big deal. Put the Firebase down and it stays most the game. I forget I have airstrike, don't use it often.
- What, if anything, does hacking a friendly Turret/firebase do? Guy whips out a keyboard and says "Their turret is mine now!" but in blitz there are not any to still so why bother to hack a friendly turret
Overiew:
- I saw we have a Assassin guide... any suggestions where to find a Support guide?

Re: Newb Questions
Ok, you got how the sponsorship works.
Gold rate of fire increases the rate of fire more than silver, which is more than bronze.
Run speed I would say isnt very effective for support. Try rate of fire as silver or gold, and armor at silver or gold. The hurt/heal gun will work better and faster with a higher rate of fire. As for the other sponsor, play with them, you can change them whenever.
The skills for support are,
Support (increases the effectiveness of the hurt/heal gun)
Airstrike (damage and regen are quicker the higher they go)
Firebase (It does more damage and deploys quicker, i think it does anyway, also level 3 will heal nearby teamates and yourself)
Hack (adds .1 / level 1 - .2 level 2 - .3 level 3)
I usually get all my levels to 2, then decide based on whats working which to upgrade to 3 after that. Hacking is good, especially on your firebase, if your hack is up to level 3 your adding up to 30% skill/xp to that turret. A level 1.3 turret is not better than a level 2, but a level 2.3 turret is better than a level 2. SPAM airstrikes, its powerful, safe and you might as well use them, you dont loose anything except the ability to do it again right away.
just some tidbits

Re: Newb Questions
when i play support i usually start off with upgrading hack and firebase right away. then rush to try to plant it somewhere near the middle of the arena. if you get that mid arena plant early in the game it really fucks the other team.
as assassin i usually go with a stick and move stick and move. dont stay in 1 place too often. when people come looking for you on 1 side of the field then move to the other side.
i dont really play any other class on account of my shitty aiming skills
skill regen gold on support. dont remember any of my other stuff
Quicklightning posted a pretty good "howto" on support in the middle of a thread somewhere around hereLast edited by Cojiro; 03-28-11 at 06:48 PM.

Re: Newb Questions
Thanks all, I will look for that How too and sure didn't even consider that the rate of fire would effect the heal gun.
I took run speed because I was running out to get the Gap Bots. they were devastating my turrets. On blitz at least I started placing my fire base out where they gap bots appear and It was killing them faster than i could run out there anyway.
Okay, On the hacks... Didnt realize it was upgrading the turret. Will be upgrading turrets and fire base from now on.
Does a 2.3 turret upgrade to a 3.3?
Is a 3.3 permanent at least until the turret dies?

Re: Newb Questions
Yea if a turret is 2.3 and someone upgrades it, it turns into a 3.3
You have to re-hack every couple of minutes, the ".3" part that shows the level has a little meter in it, it will eventually revert back to a standard "3" Its time based, so if you have everything hacked and your skill is up, re-hack something that has a low meter level.
