Question about teamplay
Is it teamplay if a player abandons 3 of his companions while they are fighting a tank and runs ahead to the to the safe room, and all 3 of those companions are up and 2 have over 50% health?

Re: Question about teamplay
I would go with no in most situations, the only time this may be acceptable is on a finale that measures distance and your team only need like 30 points to win. But still I would say you would need your team to agree it is the best course of action.
Been seeing a lot of this running ahead out of a few players, I dunno who you're talking about but generally my solution has been never invite these players to games I'm in.

Re: Question about teamplay
Under the scenario given that is a def no, unless the team said one to run for it to get the points. The only factor left out of that is the "game plan" that the team decided at the beginning of the map.

Re: Question about teamplay
I have to agree with the people saying no unless the person was told to run or that was the gameplan, I'm not too good at judging when to run so usually I don't run and that's the problem so people if I'm somehow the last on up or something and I should run let me know please, I'm still learning that.

Re: Question about teamplay
The further insult was the 3 players managed to kill the tank without going down and then were 3 caped on the way to the safe room.

Re: Question about teamplay
Salt, as despicable as you found that action, there was no reason to just quit on the game. My god my team was getting pounded and I was tempted to leave the entire game, considering the last few days I've had nothing but fail games, but I still stuck it out.
Smoke failed by running, but in his own words he didn't think your team had a decent chance to kill the tank, which is why he ran. Poor judgement, sure, but get over it. It's not the end of the world because you didn't make it the extra 100 ft.

Re: Question about teamplay
I would have thought that the player who ran should have played the tank especially since it was on fire and you had shotties (He had just taken a shot too), but you were in the sewers, maybe that's the only thing he was thinking not sure, but he still had plenty of time to turn around or hold spawn at top of ladder. Were you guys communicating?
But I thought once you guys had beaten the tank he would have come back out of the safe room to help you all finish, that's what I was most confused about there. I was on the other team so take my comments with a grain of salt.

This is definitely a non-teamplayer action. I'm not going to lie, I've made this mistake before, not knowing that I should have stayed behind and helped my team who was still in-capped. Always stay with your team no matter what, unless they are all telling you to run when they are in-capped.
