Invite even numbers of newer people or just be careful how you fill lobbies if you're worried about teams. Be sure to keep in mind this game isn't about numerical skill levels, sometimes you find people you mesh with well and you would like to be have that random chance of them being on your team.

Can't always just build it through careful invites though. Since there's no "invite-only" lobby, there's usually a coupla people each game who see people entering L4D2 and go in themselves. The majority of the time I'm perfectly ok with that, though it does get a little bit old when you're trying to set up a vets game and random people show up...

And Oni, you know damned well there's not a person in TPG patient enough to wait a whole half-hour in lobby if they don't have to

You've definitely got a point about the meshing too. Hustle's probably right on the edge of what I would consider a vet, and there're many players with a higher "skill" level, so to speak....but I tend to mesh pretty well with him and would take him over several people who are deemed "better".

Why do these passive-aggressive attack threads keep popping up? Names are never, ever mentioned, which completely defeats the purpose of the thread. If you got a problem with someone, fucking say it, and stop using generic pronouns in place of names.

Or take it to PMs.

Seriously, you can find like eight of these kinds of threads on the first page. Hell, besides the league of the dead thing you're doing and a couple of discussion threads about the game, this is the only kind of thread.

The lobby took about ten years to fill, so I was ready to play. I believe that we decided on random anyway. Andy was originally the lobby leader, but she got booted out the game for a sec. Even though our team got destroyed, I still had fun. I believe having fun is the entire point of playing with friends.
