And Dre, that's cause you play with people around your own skill level

Take a step up, and watch those CI drop

After that, since all the SI are down you would clear the horde and continue your rush. 3-4 people vs. boomer horde goes pretty quickly, probably about 5 seconds max, then you're back on track. You're also assuming there's a bunch of CI the rushers passed up, but a good rush team will pop them while still running. They make pretty good targets for the rear guard.
It's better to leave them alive in vanilla. Vanilla won't despawn them until you get far enough away for them to "deactivate," which means you have fewer CI popping up ahead of and around you as you're rushing; this is why you can (easily) rush through Expert games, barring events and crap like that. Confogl despawns CIs that aren't actively attacking the SVs and respawns them ahead, of course

But, yeah, if you can assume you're not gonna get stopped (not slowed, but stopped) then you're better off leaving those trailing CIs alive for as long as possible. Killing them just means you're allowing the Director to spawn new ones in your way.
