Alright, here's some simple tweaks I've been able to get working so far:
Crouch Toggle:
alias ct1 "+duck; bind ctrl ct2"
alias ct2 "-duck; bind ctrl ct1"
bind ctrl "ct1"
Hold-down Iron Sights:
alias +hsight "+attack2; wait 3; -attack2"
alias -hsight "+attack2; wait 3; -attack2"
bind mouse2 "+hsight"
For people unfamiliar with tweaking, here is what you need to do for this to work:
1. Find where your Nuclear Down configs are stored (default should be
C:\Program Files\Steam\steamapps\common\nuclear dawn\nucleardawn\cfg\)
2. Inside this folder, there should be a file named
autoexec.cfg. If there isn't, make one using Notepad.
3. Copy the above posted script(s) into your
autoexec.cfg.
4. If you use a different control scheme from the one posted here, change CTRL and/or Mouse2 to whichever key you use for that action.
5. Save your
autoexec.cfg.
And you're done! The tweaks will automatically be activated whenever you run the game.
Note that any in-game binding changes will be reset every time you run the game, unless you remove the lines from autoexec.cfg.
A note on the Iron Sights: if you just click the button, it will get toggled, but if you hold it down for a bit, it will automatically close once you let go of the button. It's a bit glitchy, but you should be able to get used to it.
