Teamswitch glitched

Normally I wouldn't post about a glitch, but this one ruins games. If you dont have good teams, there's no way to balance. It's been broken for a long time, and I've talked to a lot of people about it but nobody has fixed it yet or mentioned anything about attempting to fix it. This is a TPG only problem, I just tried in another server and I could teamswitch fine. I know that several people find this glitch very frustrating, which is why I'm posting.

If there's an admin in game, they can switch players.

I've never seen an admin switch players and they're not always present it's player done every time.... :/

Yeah I agree with Knee, this is a major pain in the ass. Three times we've had to go back to lobby to balance teams, which means running through the same maps again. Big f'n time waster considering that you've usually got to restart the chapter ANYWAY to get guns.

We had one game last week where we had to restart *6* times before we got rolling. Two trips back to lobby - first one because annoying noobs were suiciding themselves, then again because another player had to quit and the sub unbalanced teams horribly.. each time we also had a restart chapter to get ammo. So 6 restarts before hand, 5 of which would have been eliminated if it hadn't been for the TPG-Ammo-Bug and the TPG-Can't-Teamswitch-Bug.

well, that's only a temporary fix (and let's be honest, nobody ever does this).

Shouldn't we just fix the problem at hand instead of finding workarounds?

It is a temporary fix. And it's rarely done because people usually start trying to drop out of game or switch to spectator before it can be done. OR there's a number of people I think that don't know the command exists.

I think it's mostly the latter, because I've asked in-game before and had people I know are admins tell me there's not a command for it, but other times admins have been able to do the switch themselves. As Nana pointed out however, there's not always an admin in-game. Aside from that, how long must we rely on a "temporary fix"? Because this issue has been present ever since TPG switched to the new servers, and has been reported several times. It's a major mood-killer because if after the match starts, it's found that teams are seriously unbalanced, there's not a damned thing that can be done most of the time except either play out a shitty game or go back to the lobby to balance things out.

It's a very frustrating glitch, and I'm tired of playing in uneven games because things can't get balanced out. It's no fun to stomp a team that's completely outclassed, because I gain nothing from the experience. It's even less fun to be on that other team, because the only thing I take away from that game is a headache, high blood pressure and frustration. And let's face it, most people don't wanna deal with the delays of going back to the lobby, changing teams, reloading the correct chapter, restarting the chapter to fix the guns glitch, then trying to remember what the difference in score was before all of that. Because people don't wanna deal with that, it makes the shitty games much more likely.

I believe I know what is causing the issue but I need more information from everyone. The next time this happens, I need to know what server you are on, and about what time you attempted to change teams.
