Thread: QC Hotel Coordination

Last year we were able to get a group rate and block out some rooms at a hotel neighboring the Anatole (about $60 or so cheaper a night). But, there's some big biker conference going on in Dallas this same week, and a lot of the hotels are group-rated out.

We can hold off longer and wait for some of these blocks to open up, but that's risky.

I suggest you guys all discuss a hotel you want to be at (if you're not at the anatole) and get some rooms booked as a group on your own.

I'd think the Best Western and the Hilton Garden Inn are the easiest trips. The Best Western is an old school, pink tropical 80's kind of Best Western, but certainly cheaper than the Anatole ($80 or so instead of $150).

Talk it up.

Doubletree was where we stayed last year. Really nice and a good price, but a 15 minute walk. The garden inn is very close because it is on the same side as the convention area where QC is at.

I now live less than 30 minutes away and probably wont need a room, maybe somewhere to hang til the buzz wears out...

And just so you guys know, you can't cut through that big green area between the Best western and QC..

cause they will get thier ass kicked by a fence?

Well that sucks. Might just get a room at the Anatole now.

Is there still anyone who is looking to book a hotel room? I am supposed to be rooming with Stealthy, but haven't been able to get a hold of him for awhile. I don't know if he knows about the Hotel Block being a "negative". I am leaning more towards splitting a room at the Anatole now. Splitting it 3-4 ways wouldn't be that bad, but I know some people are too cool for sleep overs.

I have no problem sharing a bed with someone, as likely I will be drunk and/or finding myself waking up in the bath tub. Joking on the last half...but seriously I'm normal and wouldn't have a single problem sharing a room with some TPG brothers. Let me know if there are any others who feel the same way and still need to book a room.

Best Western 73 per night 293 4 days.
Days Inn 75 per night 343 4 days.

Those are the 2 best deals I've found so far.

Double Tree is full.

I will be reserving my room on the 25th of this month, who ever wants to share a room with me, let me know by then.

2 queen beds on all of em, they say max 4 people. So that's not horrible honestly.
