tips and tricks for QC first timers

well this is my first QC and want to know if there are any tips for us first timers.

Have a buddy at arrival, can pull up to front door and drop of computers, one watch comp. other parks car.
Have a dolly!!! My box is heavy and I carried it the whole way. Talk about tired! The hall is in the back of the place and it is not a short walk.
Swap phone numbers with several people so if your lost you can reconnect.(at the wrong dave and busters)
Take advantage of people making whataburger runs!
Verify games and go offline mode prior to leaving home!
Do not drink wine or eat cherries...
If you are the DD cameras are not allowed!
It is Texas and August, it will be hot!

Attend the graphic card marker 2hr events if they have them this yr. Those are where the big give aways are. Spend a couple hours each day walking the convention part of Quakecon and collect all the steam game codes flyers, tshirts and other goodies you can get.

Back on Subject.....

~ Good walking shoes.

~ 12 pk of your favorite soda (mixer for you 21+ people) Can't have alcohol in the BYOC though.

~ Snacks of some sort... always nice to have late at night in a lan party.

~ Bring a Backpack or something to carry all the goodies! (it will be searched going into and out of the byoc.)

~ Carry some cash. You may find a dumass like this to sell his ticket for $200 to you.
(From last year) hahaha. $200.00 = $60,000 Mustang 500GT fuck up.

i'm sure other chains have them but family dollar chains sell an energy drink called rip it for a buck a can comes in punch citrus sugar free and another flavor and stacker 2 energy shots for a buck each to where as most brand names sell for 2-3$ for smaller cans oh and they have thier own brand of most things but they have thier own brand of pop tarts
