Admin Abuse

For the record, I was the banning admin. The events that lead up to your ban were exactly as Major Brass mentioned. Specifically on Noshar Canals. I cut you slack on Damavand Peak as you were on the phone. After all, real life does come up. What I take issue with is what happened on Noshar Canals.

For the first 3-4 minutes as Major Brass mentioned, he and I were in the attack chopper. Yes you piped up about not being able to spawn. I recall Brass telling you to attack point on the ground until we had been taken out. You see, we were trying to keep them pinned down long enough for our team to hit the important flags and capture them. We were then shot down soon after and started to ground pound. Brass and myself told you to start hitting the other objectives we were hitting. Instead of following orders you decided to camp and protect E. A flag way out in no where with no strategic importance. Its not central like C, or had armor like B or D. Your actions were not becoming of a teamplayer, let alone one who has been here for a year. I was about to kick you for not following orders when the round ended. I then had to wait until the next round to kick you. That is why you were kicked when you were in the gunner seat for Major Brass.

Now we come to what got you banned. It was not your failure to keep up with the squad, but the pugnacious attitude that you came back with calling the admin an "internet thug". I believe you also used the word bastard at one point but the exact wording escapes me. We shall see what the logs say. I have a thick skin for words like these, but disrespect is something I do not tolerate.

Since both WileE and I are high admins and have been named here, I ask that an independent high admin step forward to arbitrate. This way there can be no claim of bias and covering each other.

Oyohusa, in looking at the chat log I think its pretty apparent that your kick needed to be upgraded to a ban. The ban in TS is just procedure when banned in game. We do not discuss matters like that in game, nor do we tolerate badgering an admin for doing his job. We dont need to give you a reason why you were banned, thats why we have the forums to discuss such matters.

The ban itself can be discussed in your unban request, but as far as admin abuse, there is none. Pote was well within his right to punish you for not following orders and was even being quite lenient just kicking you at first. The ban is mainly to have you pump your brakes and discuss it here in the forums where its supposed to be discussed.

I suggest you take a breath, understand that our admins are far from 'internet bullies', and then submit an unban request here:
