BF3 Slay
BF3 server
10:24 PM or so
I was slain while trying to provide cover with a mortar to my squad at alpha and bravo on Tehran. Our squad tried pushing and defending Alpha and Bravo repeatedly and they kept swarming all over us. So, as I disable the vehicle at alpha and take some of them out I am slain. Wondering, why.

This has also happened to me, only to find out it was an auto balance thing. Weird thing is the teams were equal and I ended up on the same team. This might have happened to you. If me posting this is against the rules, please delete.

In reviewing the logs, the admin in question was trying to motivate the team to push the objective. You were in the back of the map and likely were a victim of this effort.

Re: BF3 Slay
We had lost all the other flags and we were attempting to hold Alpha (which my squad had set as our primary objective given what happened in the round before). I was across the street from Alpha with the mortar while my squad worked hard to keep the flag. For what it is worth, most of our team was either dieing by rushing into a wall of bullets at Alpha or back in spawn. I was not in spawn, but also not sitting in the middle of the road taking fire. I was engaged in the battle. My squad and I were pushing Alpha.
Not that I believe it would have turned the tide, but that slay didn't help my squad or the team as there was no longer mortar fire providing cover/aid for the team. By the time I got back into position, we had lost Alpha and the game shortly thereafter.
When a team is being shoved back into their main (repeatedly that night) I don't think slaying folks really helps motivate an already battle weary team (having been thrashed for multiple rounds already).
Thank you for letting me know what happened. I wouldn't call this abuse, but figured this was the most appropriate forum in which to ask the question.
