Thread: THIS IS PROPOSTEROUS

There's been a lot of talk lately about admin powers in the CS:S forum, I'm sure many have seen it. With that topic so fresh in our minds (great post Ninja.bs btw), when is admin enforcement too far?

Is telling people the gun they are to use too far? Using and succeeding with a silenced usp only and go 2:1 k:d ratio the majority of the map is not allowed and also a bannable offense in the eyes of a certain admin. I was instructed along with my friend to stop using the silenced usp. I responded in mm1 that we were using a gun allowed by server rules and were succeeding with them (both positive and both upper half off the server and contributing to our team winning on an ESEA proven T sided map). There was no reply by anyone - admin or regular.

Who determines the allowed guns? If say, an admin instructs me to use the p90 will I be banned if I do not obliged? I don't particularly like that gun but as I've seen today, if you don't follow the admins warning of what gun you are or aren't allowed to use you will be banned (yes I was banned).

Is the usp not deemed competitive for this server, as I can assure you that the auto sniper, all forms of shotguns, ump, para, bullpup and krieg are not competitive guns and should also be banned as well as anyone who uses them if this is the case.

I was also using nades and armor along with a defuse kit (I'm assuming those are allowed) as well as night vision. I didn't always buy night-vision but with the CT's winning (thus I wasn't needed to drop many M4's), and buying no gun I was pretty rich in game.

I honestly think it's outrageous for an admin to determine the guns players are to use or not use. If there's an issue of gun selection, I'm sure you can ban the gun or limit it outright as you've done with the awp. For them to determine this factor on their own accord, with their own agenda is an abuse of their power.
