Thread: Strange Adminning

I've played the game alot and I want to share with your group a strange experience I just had on your server. Doomcarcass was commander and told, over comms, squad 8 (some lone dude in his own squad) to leave his squad and join another at least six or eight times in just a couple of minutes. Over those minutes, he was filling up the comm channel at Least half the time. Well whether it was prudent or not I said, 'Enough already with the comms, just let us play the game.' That is sort of a paraphrase but no language nor name calling was used.

He goes into this, I'm the commander stuff and boots me for not being in a squad. Actually I was a squadleader with a couple of peeps. So I wait my minute, rejoin, and join up in a squad with GoD Himmo and Farmdogg. So I'm bombing here and there and get a few teammates with the bad guys and carcass boots me again for 10 minutes. This time he types out a more lengthy custom message to the tune, 'I (meaning carcass) have been following your score or watching what your doing and you're being kicked for 10 minutes for not listening to me.' Really, I wasn't ... uh disobeying orders.. or whatever. In fact, I have no idea what he was talking about other than that he had some personal thing about me asking him to stop using the commander comms to ask squad 8 to leave his squad and join another.

Now I know that I am a guest at TTP and I'm not paying the bills. I'm not asking for something to be done except maybe for some of you guys to talk to carcass and see whats going on there with him and his ban button.

Please paint the real picture in the oleo we had, i was talking to the squad number 8 to join an already created squad since he was doin nothing and one man squad its not worthy in a losing streak.
i didnt boot you, wish i could do that but i called for an admin since i told you (gave orders to bomb a certain point) and you denied my order, then u reconected, and say "Shut the fuck up im playing the game"
this is not how we do it in a teamplay based server, it could be only a game for you, but is about teamwork, is not only about pilot having fun and admiring the sky.
Again i called for an admin to kick you for non-teamplay and he did, and im glad, he was watching the game and knew i wasnt bullshiting.
Just because you are a 4 star general and you are in 14th place worldwide, that doesnt mean you will do what you feel like, you could have more time playing this game than me, but that doesnt mean i have no idea what im doin, or what i want you to do if im commanding.
you were kicked twice in less than 10 minutes, its not fustrating just for you but its fustrating for the whole team when we have been losing 4 rounds in a row, i decide go commanding since noone wants to step up, then you go like "Shut the fuck up, i know what to do"
to be honest i never have see you commanding in this server, so i think you have no idea what to do when you are in the commander shoes.

If an admin was commanding, you would be fiiling an unban request for how what you said and the tone you expresed towards the commander.

wish i had FRAPS runing, so i would post what you said over the VOIP.

You are claiming I said/did things that are not true.

Your first claim says your beef with me was that I denied your order to bomb certain points - I didn't deny any order. Well anyone who was squad leader at the time heard the actual conversation which was me saying, "Enough already, let us play the game" as I said before. This was after you went on and on and on about squad 8 in comms. Never was there a mention about the fictitious orders to bomb like you said in this post. Maybe you thought it, but you didn't say it over comms nor did I deny any such orders given in game.

The second claim is a flat out lie. I never said anything like your claim before the first time I was kicked. And after I reconnected I didn't say a thing to you at all since I wasn't squad leader. If you did have a fraps of the sequence it would have been me saying 'Enough already, let us play the game' or 'C'mon already, let us play the game.' You can interpret my saying enough already or c'mon already to mean stop comm spamming but you added a curse word, fuck, that was NEVER said and you added the 'Shut the ... up' part which is pretty coarse phrasing that I NEVER used.

Here you rephrase what I said with the 'I know what to do' line (never said nor implied in game). This whole thing wasn't about don't tell us what to do or we know better than you. It was simply talk less so we (squadleaders) can talk to our squad and simply play the game. Really, thats it. I decided to start this thread after talking with other players in game after my first kick. I didn't realize that you were going to change my words into me telling you to 'Shut the fuck up.'

And finally, I have to respectfully disagree with you on this last point. To bad you didn't have fraps running so that you could post it. I will be glad to discuss with any admin any part of this incident at their pleasure.

Maybe this whole thing was just a communication barrier thing. Like at the beginning of your post you said, "Please paint the real picture in the oleo we had..." I'm not sure if thats from a foreign language or culture, but oleo to me means margarine which is a spread used on toast. I don't remember sharing any oleo with you. You say potayto, I say potahto, I say enough already, you say shut the fuck up....

Gore- Do you have anything other than "Ouch" or something constructive to add here? If not, you do not belong in this thread.

Thank you for your post and for your explanation of the situation. We take any allegation of player abuse by those in authority seriously and will look into this.

Thank you for your response to the original post. This gives us several perceptions of the same issue and a place to start.

Both-
Ice's complaint covers what he feels is abuse by a player and admin.
Please allow us some time to look into this before you post additional responses or information. That will allow us to "catch up" to you without further escalation on the part of the players. We will probably have additional questions at that point. I am not saying further debate or presentation of your opinions is not allowed--I am just asking for a temporary pause please.

I will post here again as soon as possible with more information.

Thanks for the info....we will sure look into this..... Our Admins are held to a very high standard and we are looking into the situation seriously...

I can get Untouchables when I feel like it, but I'm lazy, and Zombie Genocidest will come in time. I may never get Nothing Special due to the fact of not having many friends who play L4D and not having the determination to do it.
