Thread: Kicked/Banned from BF2142 Server

I was also on the server (and was on both sides), although not a squad leader directly under him. I did not see any 'bad day' behavior from bigdog. I did see him remove some non-team players and (i think) non-squadded, and kick some major butt on several maps, but this is fairly normal.

I do not believe that anyone but Bigdog is qualified to determine if HIS interpretation of HIS orders are correct or not. Even if your explanation of events is 100% correct, his actions as an admin were 100% correct. This is not abuse, nor is it having a bad day (except perhaps with you), this is, in point of fact, enforcing teamplay.

Nope. Not a dictator. A dictator does not hold votes and allow others to review their actions ... such as in an admin abuse thread.

Being a teamplayer is not just playing with your squad well, it is following your orders and shifting your squad when told that your interpretation of your orders is wrong by the commander.

Just a game? Perhaps, but my time (especially my leisure time) is valuable to me, and I take my game very seriously ... I do not want to play on a server that has a "it is just a game" attitude.

I think I can remember a fairly simple explanation of this from a past thread:

If somebody orders you to stand on a box, the first thing you do is follow orders and stand on the box.
While you're standing on the box, fell free to ask for an explanation of why you're standing on the box; you can even suggest that you do something other than stand on the box.

Hell, you can even suggest that you do something other than stand on the box as you're running towards the box.

What you don't do is go do something other than standing on the box, then try to explain yourself afterwards. That's called disobeying orders.

From the sounds of it, no.

Then, the next question I would have to ask is: Did you inform your commander of what your plans were before you got off of the box?
Sounds like another no.

My third question would then have to be: Do you think you can do better in the future?

...and that's the important question.

Phaedro was a squad leader during that round, as well as many other rounds that night. He can attest as to whether I was having a "bad day".

I would say that ...bigdog... was getting a little annoyed at the number of nonteamplayers on the server, but having a bad day? None of my business. He was doing his job and kicking ass at it. All I care about.

That hits it on the head Nemo. Communication was in order.

Bigdog wasn't getting propper coms and he was commanding the squads.

That crap that was said to the commander, which was bigdog, was nothing beneficial to the team. Bigdog was in Every right, to throw you off the server and let the next guy step up.

You clearly had Disrepect for the Team and the commander of it, you were in deriliction of order,,,, and you rightfully so, got moved off the server. You got something smart to say, say it here, not in the sever, wasting gamers time enjoying our awesome Nothing but TeamPlay server. That doesn't put up with Disruptive players, like yourself.

If it's not my place to say, I apologize. But, I hereby move to consider this issue done and suggest that the thread be locked.

This is pickerd's admin abuse case. So far, he hasn't even came close to making a claim but instead showed that what he claimed and what happened were two different perceptions. He forgot to tell us the truth of what really happened. That is why we have Hundreds of Admins, so when somebody steps up and makes a bogus claim, we can get all sides of what really happened.

Admin abuse claim, Denied.
