Kicked twice tonight
If you care to see my initial post, see here: http://www.texasteamplayers.com/index.php?topic=34477.0
I didn't want to call this admin abuse, because I don't think it is, but if this is where I have to post just to be heard, so be it.
The first issue doesn't involve an admin at all, but my thread was locked and no one even addressed my issue. It was that I was actively involved in the match, and kicked for being idle. It was on Jalalabad and I was on the tow site on the MEC side defending the back side in some NME guys squad. I wasn't idle, but the system kicked me anyway.
The second issue, was that I was kicked a while later (around 7:50pm CST) by an admin saying "squad up next time" or something to that effect, but I was commander. For this kick, since I'm forced to post in an admin abuse forum, I would like an apology from the kicking admin.
I'm not trying to be ugly about this, like I said, I just wanted these two issues looked at, and I didn't want to "demand" an apology or anything, since I didn't get banned or anything, but I only received derogatory comments in my initial post, and am forced to bring it here. Can I get some constructive information here without having this thread locked also ?
Thanks for the time you admins put into making this a fun BF2 server on which to play.

First, if you are on the Tow you are idle. To be not idle you have to move, and since the Tow is by classification a stationary object you were not moving.
As for your second kick the admin who kicked you will be by to explain.

Re: Kicked twice tonight
It is still a static object.... You would have had to dismount and then maybe get back on in order to be recognized as not being afk.
As for the kick when you were a commander, that would have been error on the admin.... That would be our mistake and we all try our best not to make mistakes. Admins are human but still is unacceptable from what we expect out of our admins.
Sorry for the inconvenience...

Tomgram: Peter Van Buren, WikiLeaked at the State Department
Tomgram: Peter Van Buren, WikiLeaked at the State Department | TomDispatch
The book series I co-founded and co-edit, the American Empire Project, is rolling out its latest volume today, and it’s a news-maker. Peter Van Buren, a Foreign Service Officer, spent a year at two forward operating bases in Iraq helping to “reconstruct” that country. With its ironic title, We Meant Well: How I Helped Lose the Battle for the Hearts and Minds of the Iraqi People, his work, a remarkable deconstruction of that effort and more generally of the debacle of American-style armed “nation-building,” will be a classic in the annals of anti-interventionism. He’s also a natural as a writer. Think of him as the State Department’s Michael Herr, though in its first rave reviews his book is being compared to Joseph Heller’s classic World War II novel Catch-22. As it happens (again see below), Van Buren is now paying for the devastating portrait he’s painted of America in action in Iraq quite personally.
