cod4 server
this guy gater kicked me for camping (which I was), but that rule (if it is a rule) shouldn't have applied to my situation. The situation was a small game of domination in the district and my team was losing. We couldn't hold any objective long enough to get another, so I decided to do what anyone should do and that is get one and camp there while your trigger happy team goes out to try for more. Anyway it worked and I killed a couple of individual attackers whiled my team secured more objectives. One of these attackers was gater and I suspect he was just pissed because he couldn't get by me :\
then he kicked me for admin disrespect when I came back to call him out on all of this. I didn't even swear.
Someone needs to tell officer gater to chill with the kicking.

Re: cod4 server
Did you tell your team what you were doing? Did you coordinate and suggest that you would watch the flag and do a bit of defending while they pressed forward? Or where you just lone wolfing it doing whatever you wanted for your self without expressing that to your team?

Re: cod4 server
You were indeed camping which you have stated. The reasoning behind your kick is simple. Camping in the spot that you were in, was looking directly at B flag. You were more or less spawn camping from your view point and mine as well. A console warning went out to all players stating "DO NOT CAMP/DEFEND UNTIL YOU CONTROL 2 FLAGS" You continued to camp in the same spot and your team needed help in capturing another flag. This went on for about 5 more minuets before you were kicked. In that 5 minuets your team still didn't capture a flag and you were still killing the other team in their spawn point. At that point I, along with another admin on, decided you were not helping your team and you were removed.
Your attempt to guard your only flag would have seemed more feasible if you were in fact near the flag. As Mcstrange asked, ....

Re: cod4 server
There was absolutely no spawn camping, that's just rediculous. The spot I was camping was behind those bars more or less in front of that entrance to the middle part. It was practically right on one of the objectives so you would HAVE to kill me to capture it. I positioned myself to see the three different entrances to that area (the little alley with stairs, the entrance to the middle part and the entrance to that big long alley). My team may or may not have needed help capturing other objectives but it seemed the more I helped them with that the more futile the game became. So I chose a strategy of defense. In the time I was camping my team DID capture other objectives, at LEAST once. I was NOT killing anyone in their spawn point. Everyone I killed was trying to approach the objective I was defending and could have easily backed off without confrontation. Who are you to decide whether or not I'm helping my team? Before I started doing this we couldn't hold on to anything, but while I was camping (before you kicked me) we held that one the whole time. You say I wasn't near the flag but I was right on top of it as stated earlier.
I've gotta think you're just making this stuff up to find justification.
As for the question of whether I was just "lone wolfing it doing whatever you wanted for your self without expressing that to your team?"; that's public gaming fellas. I did what I thought was best to help my team's situation. Who are you to just decide my strategy isn't right and kick me (especially since it was working)?
As far as the second kick goes, so what if I express how "lame" I think your decision was. I don't know what country you live in but mine was founded on that kind of free speech. It's not like I was purposely disrupting the game.

Re: cod4 server
you just admitted to breaking 2 rules on our server. Before you file for admin abuse again I would recommend reading the rules that we have here.

Get over yourself. If you can't abide by the rules of the server or the warnings of admins while on our server go find some place else to play.
Read over the rules. If you want to abide by them, you are welcome on the server. If not, you already know.
No abuse. Claim denied.
