Re: Awp vote counterstrike source.
Fact of life: Awp is unpopular amongst the regulars here at ttp. Odds are someone who can't hack it will whine about it and the admins do what they are supposed to do and put up a vote when someone asks/whines for it. Now if they put it up on their own at the beginning of rounds because of personal dislikes, then that's between them and their ethical values. Once more, odds are if a vote gets put up, the players will restrict it, just live with it.

In response to Duddy I guess my question is if the AWP is so weak why do so many people on pubs save up to buy it, and why in scrims do almost all of the best players use it? What other weapon in the game can I one shot you across the length of the map somewhere other than the head, and get a kill? I agree it has a place in the game, and do not oppose a losing team using it to try to turn things around, but the usual problem with that is that after a round or two of getting AWPed the winning team buys one or more. Then the losing team starts bitching and whining that they are getting AWPed back.

Rofl Latinman I know exactly what you are talking about. People are just too pampered in the servers. Like you said there has rarely been votes to un-restrict the awp, even when the losing team tries to start winning.
Don't "DROP" it like some of these people have said Latin, I am glad other people from other games see what I have been talking about.

Oh yes and there was one admin who made the point to say since I was awping on the winning side a few days ago when we lost 6 rounds in a row "are you using an awp on the winning side when someone said not to" I said yes, it is legal. and they said "Well im just making a point to show you're not a team player." Well that is pretty straight retarded since I call strats half the time and do team play but since I chose to use an awp when it is not restricted I get degraded by an admin..

civil its the subtle art of smokes and flashes, couple here and there and bam no more effective awper. its not that hard like everyone makes it out to be.

Re: Awp vote counterstrike source.
I usually vote no on an awp vote (unless its a map like aztec, where the CTs are using it when up by multiple wins), I like the challenge of taking down an awper.  What some regs don't seem to understand is that a few smokes and flashed and the awper goes down easy.
It just seems to me like calling for an awp vote is saying "Admin, people are shooting me with that gun, and I don't like it.  Can you take that gun away for me please so I stop dying?"  It just rubs my button. Whatever that means. ;)
Glad to see we agree on this duddy.

Re: Awp vote counterstrike source.
Also I would like to state that no where in the TTP Rules for the CSS server does it say that there is no awping on the winning team. I dont know where people got this idea that it is a server rule, but it is not. It is more of a common courtesy than anything and not so much of a rule.

Shut up rock, and get better at CS. ;D
Lonestar for CS should be coming out soon, I'll talk to the rabbit about switching the places of "yes" and "no".
