Thread: Awp vote counterstrike source.

Can we get to the point? This is turning into a rant and not an admin abuse claim.

You said there's a certain admin that always seems to pop up the admin vote and that's your claim.

no one should really be commenting here.

^Exactly either there is a claim against a specific admin or this is just a discussion that needs to take place in another forum. Get it worked out or this is going to be locked.

Every time the awp is used in source when a certain admin is on the awp vote is immediately put up.

And im not sure I understand, but are you saying that there's more people that wish the awp vote didnt go up, then people that did?

If that were the case then why does the vote seem to pass so much? You'd think people who actually meant to vote the opposite answer would get it right the 2nd time..or the 3rd time.. or the 4th time they see the awp vote.

And if the vote is so sporadic as you claim it is then why aren't these votes failing? Why does majority always seem to win?

The admin the I know of for sure when this incident happened was dm. But there could of been more I was so disappointed I quit a round later because I KNEW the awp vote was going to come up the second I awped someone across the map, and right when the first awp shot went off it was already up. The map was port yes. This is an obvious sniping map. If you don't want awp on this map or any other long range map for that matter just ban it at the start of the round to get it over with because the second one is used a vote is put up to ban it. 99.9% of the time the vote will pass. I've only seen 1 awp vote not pass and it was on dust2 when we were getting creamed and ALL ct's voted no because I was making a point over the mic saying AWP vote is coming up press 2. AND it didnt pass.. 30 seconds later SAME vote came up and it passed with flying colors... This incident took place a few weeks ago but it seems that the vote is coming up more and more frequently. All I'm asking is if an awp vote is put up and passed that we (the minority) have the option a few rounds later to put up an UNBAN request for the awp. Than we can see if people are just randomly pushing 1 or 2.


The awp doesn't eliminate team play, if anything it creates team play. However that's another topic all in another.

The map was Port and CTs were actually raping the Ts. The previous round, I had been moved to T side to help out and Latinman joined shortly after that. I don't remember how long it was from when he joined to when he bought/picked up an AWP, but I do know it made a lot of Ts unhappy since they were already loosing and had just started coming back. The AWP vote would have come up regardless because when the any side is already dominating and they still AWP, especially on map like Port where it is easy to snipe people, the AWP is looked down upon by many, hence his comment.

He is the only admin I remember by name being on Port at the time, but I'm almost positive there were others on at the time.

The incident on D2 though I was not apart of, I just thought it might help to clarify the situation on Port.

I don't keep dates and logs of all the times I play.
This happened last week I think friday maybe? or saturday.. I was playing I think it was inferno maybe (port) not sure.. Anyhow the other team bought had a few awps for 5 or 6 round and the ct's lost all the rounds in a row, however ct's were still ahead like 16 - 10 or something and I said I was going to buy an awp. Someone made a comment that well you don't need an awp on the winning team.. I said back we've lost several rounds in a row so im buying one.. 30 seconds later after we win the admin min speaks in admin chat " Latinman, were you just told not to buy an awp on the winning team?" I said "Yes, but it's not a server rule." and few seconds later admin makes a comment, "I know, just pointing out you're not a team player." I think I said "whatever" or something along those lines. Well for starters I follow strats / call strats and I am a team player. Just because I go against the wishers one other play on my team I get spat on? Yah good job there. I have no idea who the admin was that said that but it was pretty lame comment. I try my best to be a team player.

I see no legitimate admin abuse here....just the same old argument that has been brought up year after year since 2005.

I have had more CS admin playtime here than any other admin and I can tell you that the AWP causes more issues with teamplay than it helps....THIS IS A FACT. Plain and simple....if the admin wants to put up a vote, then so be it. If it passes, then accept it. Some of you may call other player's "whiners," but it seems to me that the AWP addicts whine a lot more (hence all the pointless threads). I am not trying to sound like an asshole, but I am seriously sick and tired of this shit.

People are absolutely in awe when they play TTP CS, so obviously our admins are doing everything right. I stand by all of them and know we will continue to do a great job....no wonder our servers remain full. Locked.
