Thread: Slayed twice (not trying to be aggressive or hostile)

Okay, like I put in the subject I'm not trying to sound hostile or aggitated because I'm not. I just feel like I'm always the one being persecuted for not rushing with the team or whatever although I feel I go with the team unless I have a legitimate excuse. I'm not reporting abuse I'm just trying to get an explaination.

The map was de_cbble and I was T side. The call was B so I rushed into tuns with the rest of the team. I see that the bomb is "afk" and at least one other agrees verbally. No one says otherwise. During my tunnel rush I hear flashes in mid ramp, where CT's usually were rushing. I try to see if I can pick them off with a scout, I get naded and fall to about 30 HP. I finally pick off a guy I think, then go back into tuns to try to pick up the bomb that I realize now is down. I hit tab and find im the only one left alive and i hear all sorts of people running around me so i go out into T spawn to let them run by so i can kill them and take bomb.

I get slayed. I ask why and the admin says rush with the team. Reasonable I guess. I state my circumstances that "bomb was afk." Someone says bomb was not afk you dumbass. I get slayed again. The guy tells me to post up on the forums, so here it is.

I just am fed up because i feel like admins single me out to slay although when I get slayed there are usually many others that either don't go for the bomb or completely go away from the team with many admins on and they don't do shit. I'm usually the first one rushing on or urging others to rush with me, so that's the only reason i find myself pissed off at being the only one I find slayed.

Again, I don't mean to sound hostile because I'm only slightly pissed and only posting because the admin told me to. Please don't ban me or take this personally because sometimes I guess I do deserve to be punished. Just not twice when my entire goal is to win rounds.

Maybe if you're being "singled out" you should examine your play style and figure out why. I can't address that as I don't believe I've witnessed any other issues with you.

I was the admin for the round in question.

The call was made to RUSH B. You were in the front and ran immediately to the doors watching the courtyard. I didn't get to figure out who you were until everyone else had already died FOLLOWING THE CALL. You were then slayed and a warning was issued through god chat to FOLLOW THE CALL.

The bomb was NOT AFK. I don't even know where this came from.

The second slay was for talking back to the admin. You are damn lucky it stopped there as I could have just banned your ass.

So do you want to turn this into an abuse claim or are we done here?

Hung yourself with that one. When I call a B rush I expect everyone to rush B. According to Spaz you were in the most crucial spot, the front. Veering away from the rush there is a huge no no. Your lucky I was busy doing my job rushing with the team, and didn't have a chance to see who it was, or I would have banned you.

I only went there because bomb was "afk" like I said. A rush is usually void if the bomb is still sitting in spawn.

Also, as I stated, I didn't want this to become admin abuse. I just wanted an explaination for why I was slayed twice. I gave my defence and I still don't understand.

Spaz already explained everything to you, so whats not to understand? In addition, Mr. White so graciously just reiterated the fine points in red. If you are claiming abuse, then you are going against one of our seasoned high admins who rarely ever makes an admining mistake. If you are done here, then I suggest we close this case.

Do you have a mic? All you would have to do is say "bomb afk, gonna hold mid while we retrieve the bomb."

This was my defense. My talking back was using the statement "Bomb Was AFK"

I'm sorry I can see that this has caused a problem, I won't post on this part of the forum again. I didnt know that asking about a slay was a bannable offense. Sorry

You need to use your mic in real time. You can't say bomb was afk after the fact. Most contested slays can always be prevented if the player in question uses effective communication. You did the right thing by coming to the forums to sort things out and we invite you back if you feel you want to discuss any future issues. We are not here to flex our admin muscles.....we are here to resolve issues and let you know how you can prevent incidents like this in the future.
