So you have hit the ground, whether youve fallen or you were kicked down, your still there. I do not know you and all i have to get to you know are these posts. Same goes for quite a few others looking in on this as well... My recommendation: Take a step back, reread whats transpired and sleep on it and return to it tomorrow. What "makes or breaks" you is how you get back up from this and the vibe i am getting from your current posts is one i am certain you do mean to give out. So take a step back, sleep on it, and return to it tomorrow, clam.

This ban seems totally justified to me.

You didn't follow orders (whether several or just one) to the point that pote had to ask you why. which shouldn't ever have to occur when dealing with a reg. true there is always mitigating circumstances but when asked your response was basically "sorry not driving"..and that's not good enough.

then when addressed again you throw out the line about not knowing who you are. now from a third party perspective i am inclined to agree with pote that this was exactly what it sounds like; you being an elitist punk. It is just to simple to come in and justify it by saying " I just meant i wasn't a noob" if that's what you meant great but even replying with that is unacceptable.

your commander asked why you weren't were you were supposed to be and nothing else! you never answered the question! you blew him off and then made a smart ass remark. None of which vibes with this team player image you espousing in all these threads. when all you had to do was say "working on it" or "on our way" or " will as soon as i can"

but what it really brakes down to is this:

You didn't follow orders ; you didn't tell who ever was driving ( assuming he was in your squad ) to get to the objective and then relay that you had any intention what so ever of following the call back to commander or say " hey commander cant guy driving not in my squad I'll move there as soon as i can. and then you made a remark that came across like you couldn't be bothered to answer his question , which you didn't and he shouldn't mess with you because of who you are.

I would have banned you just as fast and with out giving you the courtesy of checking with fellow admins to make sure it was the right call. because it was the right call.

your best bet is to calm down , admit that you utterly failed to communicate with your commander ( because none of your reply's gave him any inclination you had any intention of following his orders) and then you made a remark that any sane individual would have interrupted the same way.

and just so we don't have to have the same experience discussion you and pote had ; I was a well respected mid admin in 2142 for a long time until I had to drop because of computer issues. I know the Bf series games well and what i am taking about.

make a proper unban post and wait out your vote and learn from this experience.

And Pote probably actually talked to them first to let them know that you were going to banned. He did the clan the respect of letting someone it know he was having problems with you on the server. He gave them a respect, he did not say "Can I ban him?"

As someone who has had to ban within their own clan before, it is not an easy thing to do and when most admins ban any member of a resident clan, there is serious thought put into it because they don't want the drama.

So just because you are in a clan, just because you have played a lot of hours and just because you know how to play the game, does not give you a get out of jail free card.

If you have that much going on at home (in the background) that you can not hear the Commander's orders then you should not be a SL.

If a team is getting rolled and someone steps up to commander to try and stop that and one of the problems is that people are not following orders, then yes, bans happen and quickly.

I think your best bet here is to post an unban request and explain that you didn't hear the orders and apologize for that. You admitted you got orders and that you didn't follow them, that does equal a ban here at TTP.

If you think this was abusive then I question why you play on TTP. I play here cause in 2142 (same rules as BF2) people got banned for not following orders. It was great to play a game where you could give an order and it was followed. That is what draws a lot of people, that fact that aanybody can step up and command and be listened to...
