Scrum had a version of what happened as did a few other admins. So here we have 40 cs admins that must decipher between what scrum is saying, what you are saying, and what a few other admins are saying. So basically, we had a bowl of he said she said bullshit. At that point in time you must look at other factors. One of the factors we looked at is the team you usually join. Without a doubt, 99%(it seemed like) agreed that you go easy side of the map, including myself. Even though I am not on the server doesn't mean that I don't check HLstats server overview, so I was confident in my personal judgement. There is absolutely no rule against players going on an easy side, but being a player with your skill, the admins will take notice and it is frowned upon. What does that have to do with this case? When there is a lack of evidence I have to ask myself....would sl!ppy be angered by such a move(scrum switching you warm up round)? Then I have to think about your character. This is where most of the CS admins had a pretty easy decision. In the past you have been extremely vocal in your disgust for some of the ways in which we do business around here. Numerous posts in the CS admin forum basically congesting it with drama. I am pressed for time (as usual), so I cannot pull up specific incidents, but I know they are there. This quality of yours combined with the fact that you probably did not want to play the hard side makes me feel that you did indeed say something that indirectly or directly mocked the admin's decision. I will not even begin to talk about scrum's character. All I will say is that he is battle tested and holds up the ideals for TTP as well as Bigdog or Sjt did.

Are we picking on you? No. Did the Cs admins look at the evidence that we had available and make a well thought out decision? Yes.

I know you are probably feeling down about the decision, but maybe you do need to look in the mirror and stop ignoring things that may be obvious to others, but not so obvious to yourself.

Very well put (expect nothing less from tony) I think that pretty much sums it up.

I understand that my past is not shiny.

I would also like to point out that i prefer T side on Aztec and CT side on D2, the opposite of what scrum has claimed. I auto assign pretty much all the time UNLESS the game has already started and then i just pick whatever side i feel like. I cant pull up any stats and neither can you showing one way or the other how often im on the easy side and how often im on the hard side. I will however point out that an easy side on a map can easily turn into the hard side on a map when the team on that side is incompetent while the team on the hard side is organized. This easy side hard side bullshit is in my mind sort of pointless 95% of the time because its also VERY dependent on whos on which team. I have been being switched plenty and have not complained once before this alleged incident so why would I all of a sudden complain?

Quite simply this ban seems to have been based more upon what people "think" of me than what necessarily caused the ban. According to you, and from my investigation as well, multiple admins and players have different versions of what went down. This not only shows the confusion but should explain why i fully believe scrum heard something that was never said. I dont fault him if thats the case because im sure anyone can look back in their life and find times when they mistook what someone said, either mixing up its intent, or just not hearing correctly. The simple fact that none of the stories are matching up should mean the ban should not of happened. Its a ban with no actual proof other then what someone "thinks" they heard, and a ban based more upon personal impressions then an actual event.

I speak my mind, and sometimes that can offend people. I have called out certain TTP admin decissions before on the forums because i personally think that some of the past and possibly present admins in this community use their positions in such a way as to benefit themselves and their friends. It happens in every admin community so dont think its just TTP. Admins are only human and some either make silly mistakes, or abuse their powers. This has, im sure, pissed off some and made me a scapegoat waiting to happen in their minds. TTP has built a very solid and strong community founded in good ideas and teamwork, but its grown large and when you have many admins in many games affiliated in some form or another with clans or longstanding friends or whatnot... sometimes decisions are made that are not necessarily correct or test and sometimes break the rules laid down for the admins. Its one of the reasons high admins are not allowed to be affiliated with clans am i correct?

I simply am trying to point out that this ban was based upon a he said she said situation with neither party having any witnesses who didnt have their own versions. The very fact that other admins supposedly disagree with what scrums story is and have their own should be grounds for a dismissal of the ban. My past history here may not be spotless, and yes i may have ruffled a few feathers, but im not some criminal here to ruin what TTP stands for. I am on very good terms with plenty of regulars and admins. I love the servers because i love pubs where people communicate, where they work together. If speaking my mind is an issue then im guilty in these forums of just that. But i know the rules, i know you dont talk back to admins, i even warn others in the servers about it. Why would i throw it away. While my history may not be spotless in terms of speaking my mind, ive played on TTP servers for well over a year and a half and dont have a history of bans relating towards speaking my mind or backtalking admins while in the servers.

This ban is in my opinion baseless. I will continue to work to push my case and dispute it.

    Re: An Admins word

the case has been made, and the CSS admins voted 30-11 to sustain your ban.

We can keep going in circles here, but at the end of the day, the issue comes down to a he said she said. And in that case, we have to trust our admins.

    resolved.
