Thread: Admin Abuse! I call FOUL!!

I just have to say... I am SO SUPREMELY disappointed in Elkhartadam, the voting admin and the circumstances surrounding the recent banning of Deacid from the TTP BF2 server. Deacid, aka Diggz, aka Tony is one of my very closest friends IRL. He is, in fact, standing up with me when I get married this Saturday. I can assure you, with 100% complete and utter confidence that he HAS NEVER and WOULD NEVER cheat, hack, use an AIMBOT or DO ANYTHING that would be perceived as cheating, poor sportsmanship or poor teamplay!

I recently registered with your site (primarily to be able to follow his ban appeal) and was impressed with how well-run, well-organized and well-moderated it was. I was even compelled to write my first post regarding my bachelor party last weekend. Deacid and I (hoo/<ah420 ingame) have both played on the TTP BF2 server for a pretty long time. We like your server because the teamwork is second to none! Everyone works together, communicates and follows orders! That's the experience we're after and we've both come to respect and appreciate many of the server's regular players and admin. After all, there are sooo few good servers left out there! That is why I was SHOCKED to hear that his ban had been sustained!

For a group of gamers who seemingly pride themselves on fairness and justice, I'm baffled by the way this went down! Every single bit of "so-called" evidence against him was purely circumstantial. The ban itself... was for "SUSPECTED" hacking! Not, "That guy is clearly hacking... Here, let me get screenshots to prove it" hacking... or "PunkBuster confirmed, kick and ban" hacking... no. Just, "Well, we think he might be hacking." "FOUL!" I say.

Look at the instance in question here for a moment...

1.) He joins the server. (Mashtuur City is the map)
2.) He spawns as a sniper (with a Barrett) at Hotel.
3.) From a 2nd floor window of the 2-story building at Hotel, he spots a soldier running from Mosque toward the bridge.
4.) The soldier lays prone next to the large rock by the start of the bridge.
5.) Deacid has the jump on him... and gets the kill. One down, not difficult.
6.) Next, a humvee carrying 3 leaves mosque and STOPS on the middle of the bridge to try to pick off soldiers running around near the Hotel flag.
7.) He kills the soldier on the humvee's mounted MG. Two down, not difficult.
8.) The driver starts to move the vehicle. (Keep in mind the very slow rate of acceleration you get in a humvee).
9.) Deacid gets a VERY LUCKY... (Diggz, if you're reading this, you know it was!!) shot on the driver of the humvee. 3 down, difficult... HECK YEAH, but not impossible!
10.) With the humvee at a stop again, the third soldier (who has now moved up to the mounted MG position) is left vulnerable.
11.) Deacid gets his 4th kill. Not difficult.
12.) Finally, he gets a few more kills with grenades thrown from the roof of the same building down onto players trying to cap the Hotel flag on foot.

I just don't get where the suspicion comes from guys?! One lucky shot = hacker?? Unfair.
Random search results and coincidental date similarities?! Even more unfair.
Take a closer look at his BF2 stats... Check his K:D ratios. He's just a good shot. (Don't let that go to your head Diggz! ::) )

So... If you want, you can just say, "Hey, screw these guys. Ban 'em both." (I should probably just shut my mouth now... D'oh!)
Or... You could reconsider his appeal and perhaps lift his ban...

Please. I'm dying here. These other servers suck! ;)

It's a 30 day ban he can appeal it then. Just in case you didn't know he has to appeal it not you.

The decision remains in your collective hands... Disappointing or not.
I just don't see how there can be a punishment without a crime.

As usual though, guilt lies in perception.

As stated above by JBMCW2010, there was a vote that took place among all of our BF2 admins.&#160; There was a clear majority for Deacid's ban to be upheld.&#160; I assure you there were multiple other admins who also witnessed the events from the other night and saw the same thing that I did.&#160; I also assure that this vote was not taken lightly and would have been overturned had the evidence presented just have been "my word."

I was at hotel and sniped the gunner out of an approaching Humvee... then the driver... then the next gunner.

If my actions are deemed to be abusive, you will read about my punishment here in this thread.&#160; Thank you for writing your concerns.

No, it is not a 30 day ban. It is a permanent ban, that he can appeal, no earlier than 30 days.
