TeamPlayerGaming - CS:S Server [No AWP/Auto] - Chuy
I'm a regular on TTP CSS No Awp and today at almost exactly 3PM EST I joined the server in the middle of a round. I bought a deagle, took maybe 10 seconds of running toward A-site piranesi and was slain for not following the team call.
I alerted the admin to the fact that I had just joined mid-round and to examine my score (0-0) and connect time. He then proceeded to ban me. Probably because he realized I called him out and he looked stupid.
I'm a regular. I know the rules. This was dumb. Someone tell Chuy to relax a bit please and lift my ban. I was also a few days away from requesting a reserved slot. This isn't the best way to get regulars to pay 5$/mo.

I was not the admin that slayed you, but I was the admin that banned you. I don't care what you were slayed for, anytime your response to that is "I just connected to the server jackass" you are going to get banned.

So let me get this straight - you guys make a stupid mistake and then when a player is frustrated because of it, they are the ones that get punished?

If you felt like you were slayed wrongly, there are ways to go about dealing with that. Calling the admin a jackass is absolutely the wrong answer.

So players are expected to hold their tongue but admins are not expected to hold their finger from the ban button? I ran a server for 4 years and I know that part of running it is to keep the trash off, which includes bans and making sure your players are respectful. But another part is admitting when you're wrong and quickly resolving issues like this so that good, regular players do not suffer.

I was the one that slayed you, I was wrong about doing so. I didn't realize that you had just connected. But, you claim you took ten seconds of a run towards a-site. When I saw you after most of your team died rushing b you were spotted in mid floor on the balcony watching your team die. If your a regular, your first instinct would have been to get with the team and help them out.
As i said, I probably should have taken the time to scope things out first.
Space.cowboy made it perfectly clear. You do not under any circumstance call an admin a name. No matter if the slay/ban was intentional or a mistake.

You've taken responsibility for your error. I apologize for my profanity.
Lift the ban, everyone goes home happy?

I'd like to add something to this topic
Arguing admin decisions is not allowed in game. It doesn't matter if you want to get the matter handled with right then and there. We have a forum(this one) for questioning the admin so those higher up can make a more detailed inquisition as to the situation and circumstances around each individual case in order to properly deal with those breaking the rules, or administer a proverbial slap on the wrist to those who fuck up. By doing things this way, TPG keeps their game servers generally free of drama and everyone focused on the game. Just a bit of advice for the future

The Admin Abuse portion of this issue appears to be concluded. The Admin made a mistake and apologized. It happens - none of us are perfect. This is how this forum is supposed to work. Sense will be more careful in the future.
Ping, you have accepted the explanation and apologized for your outburst. Nonetheless, the correct procedure for removing the ban must be followed. Please post an unban request and we can get on with that process.
PM me if you have any questions.
Admin abuse case closed.
