    Admin abuse CSS main 6:45PM

Map de_season: One player "Headshot" or w/e his name was was treated unfairly so i pointed it out to him to post it in the admin abuse forum. I will post this for him because I was banned for saying that. First off the call on T was slow play. The CTS rushed killing most of us he was left in lower A on season. he was resting there waiting for CTS to peak while admin used his power to freeze and mess with him. He had 1:30 min left atleast. He had plenty of time to sit there and go get bomb to plant. No reason to get admin involved unless it is blantant that he isn't going for the mission.

You are correct on everything except you forgot to add that he sat on the balcony underground for a good thirty plus seconds not attempting to do anything except moving back and forth. This is after all the T's had pushed into A and I died trying to plant the bomb. I also had problems with this player following the call after you had been banned.

I froze him because he was no where close to any ct's and so that he would be sure to see the admin's message to pursue the objective.
So, instead of helping the rest of his team, he baited us/YOU and made no effort to work towards the area where the bomb was down.
Yes, he had plenty of time to pursue. He didn't make an effort until he was frozen and seen the message to pursue the objective.

He lost no health in the process. He received the admins message and went onto pursuing the objective after being warned. Where is the abuse?

I dont think he baited anyone. He was last to get there while cts moved around lower he killed I think two of them. I was dead first so I saw the entire thing. No one said they were pushing. No one said a thing. So we do not guess lets rush A when everyone dies lower. There is no reason for him to rush in and die. He sat upper for maybe 15seconds. I do not believe he sat any longer than that, but it doesn't really matter if i say taht cant be proven.

Edit: Add the admin did not respond to any of his slow play movements until some other player said something. The admin may have been responding to the other player talking not to the right thing being done.

The other player or players must have also thought he was sitting on the balcony not doing anything for to long as well.
You are not seeing my point though, he was frozen and lost no health, his postion on the map was not given away, he also responded to the warning by getting off the balcony to pursue the objective. Most players that do not think they are doing anything wrong would continue not pursueing the objective. How long was he going to sit there until I warned him? 1 min? 2mins? If the rounds lasted 5 mins then would he have sat for 4mins?

Is that not what the admin uses a message for? I did not see a message come from admin chat telling him to pursue the objective? You went straight to using admin powers instead of asking him to go for it instead.

I made sure he seen the message, he promptly started to make a move afterwards. You are correct, I will use what ever powers I see fit at the time. Freezing him and giving him a warning seemed more fit than slaying/kicking/banning him didn't it? You and I can argue for months on this, but we will not agree. I have very few exact rules to follow as a admin, the rest is for my best judgement. I must be doing a pretty damn good job at it being I have been a mid admin for over a year now. I did what I thought was best at the time and I still and always will think I handled it right PERIOD. I have nothing else to say on the matter.

It sounds to me like you are getting a little frustrated over this. I really believe you should of said something in admin chat, but that you choose a to freeze him instead because of a person bitching. Anyways that's just my opinion. I came to forums to discuss the matter not get in a pissing match. This can be closed. I have nothing further to say either. Thank you for your time.

So what did you come in here for? Admins are allowed to use whatever they feel necessary to relay a message. In all honesty he should have been slayed, I would have. Big froze him to get his attention, instead of doing some dance around a player he was blunt about it. There is no rule for our admins to warn then slay or then freeze. Admins go about it how they see fit. Frankly, I don't see the point in why you kept making this worse, and your last post really brings out the ass in you. Why did I vote for an unban if this is how you'll act. I'm really regretting my decision now.

Re: Admin abuse CSS main 6:45PM

While not present for the events in question, based on the foregoing it appears that BigTymer could have chosen a better course of action to get the players attention. Our admins have multiple tools at their disposal to address problem players, in this case other tools could have been used more effectively.

Ghost, I think you recognize that the proper way to handle these issues and questions is in the forums. The admins ultimate goal is to quickly solve problems in the server and get on with the game. When a player questions an admin decision in game it detracts from acheiving that goal. In game actions by admins are subject to reveiw and this is the proper place to address those issues.

All of the admins should note that these types of powers are only to be used in exceptional circumstances - which were not present in this case.
