Unresponsive Admin?
I am not sure if this is the correct section to post, but I think it is the best for my problem at hand. Please feel free to move this thread to the correct section.
And a reminder, if I sound a little pissed off in this post, I have no disrespect for anyone. Please do not take my post as a way to flame the admins.
My problem is simple: the admin who banned me is not replying to my unban request thread. My post has been up for about 3 days now and he still hasn’t replied. Which brings up a problem, if the admin DOESN’T want the banned player unbanned, then all he has to do is ignore him. This way, the player will have NO CHANCE to be unbanned, and the admin doesn’t have to bother with the situation. And for an admin to not follow up on a banned player, I believe is a form of admin abuse. I do not know the rules about being admins, but it would be silly for a rule like this not to be in place. ADMINS NEED TO DO THEIR WORK. And that includes giving people the chance to be unbanned.
But, there is a solution to all this: if a unban request thread is posted and hasn’t received the banning admin’s reply within 7 days, than a vote is automatically executed. I believe this is a great way to bring fairness to TPG. After all, what is team play without FAIRPLAY?
Bests,

Re: Unresponsive Admin?
Have some patience. People do have lives outside of TPG.
Case in point:
http://www.teamplayergaming.com/bann...eview-ban.html
Now does that mean that I want him to stay banned? No, of course not..and I'm sure your banning admin doesn't want you to stay banned either.
If the banning admin cannot be reached...another admin will usually get a vote started.

Re: Unresponsive Admin?
Ok thanks Guyver, I appreciate your support. I know that you are a responsible admin a do reply.
So as for the 7-day thing, there is kinda already a system like that?

Re: Unresponsive Admin?
My banning admin has replied, but I still think this rule should be strictly enforced.
The variable of an admin not replying is still out there.
For example, it the admin losses his administer privileges before he replies to the unban request than the banned player is trapped in-between an unfortunate loophole in the system. There are no downsides to this rule so I see why it shouldn't be added to the "Admins Principles and Practices" or whatever the admin rulebook is called.

Re: Unresponsive Admin?
Maybe players should do the right things to not get banned in the first place? Its not like the admins say hey you come in here and show your ass so we can ban you. People have wife/kids. People get sick, they get the flu. Get in car accidents etc. Some may even die. Some just vanish to never be heard from again. We have rules set and we have done this for a while, i think we know how to run this show. Thanks for the input, but we got this :)
You call an admin gay and you want him to jump at the snap of your finger? lol OKAYLast edited by ~BigTymer~; 01-07-11 at 08:19 PM.

Ok, your argument seem reasonable.
It seems like I rushed you people a bit and for that I am sorry.
It seems you have everything under control.
Thanks for your time, Guyver and BigTymer.
