Kick Complaint

I was told to take this complaint to the forums:

It was the second round of the night on Gulf of Oman and I was gunning, as a squad leader, in the attack chopper. H7g6f5, as commander, yelled at me to cap flags. Since I was busy gunning in the attack chopper I left the squad and came back so I would not be a squad leader in the attack chopper. Within several minutes I was kicked for not following orders.

I do not feel this kick was justified. I left the squad and went back in so I would not be a squad leader in the chopper.

The other issue I have is how h7g6f5 yells at me to cap flags rather than be in the chopper. I feel that as a moderator representing TeamPlayerGaming, h7g6f5 should limit his cussing and have a little more respect to the players on the server.

Kailere, first of all thanks for taking this issue to the forums. Secondly, the server had roughly 14 people on when I joined. I immediately joined bravo squad (US) and started ground pounding when I noticed we were down to one flag (Olive). Everyone else was in your squad and was flying. I also noticed that we had no commander so I applied to be commander and started giving people orders; to get fuck out of air-craft and cap flags.

During, that time I told you/gave an order (squad one) to bail over river fortification; the flag you were near to. You did not bail so I assumed you were under fire and let you be after a brief moment I noticed you were still in the chopper so I told you again. Nothing happened… So, then I see you die and get into a jet. As you were taking off I told you to cap hotel. Nothing happened you did not bail.

Again, you were squad leader during that time you were in the jet we lost Olive and had no flags. I then told you to “Fuck’en bail out of the jet and cap hotel” Nothing happened… You kept on flying. I again gave you the benefit of the doubt that you were under attack and were trying to stay alive. So, I told you again to bail over hotel but you didn’t instead you chased a jet. So, I decided to kick you for not following orders. During that time you dropped out of squad lead.

So, I gave new squad leader orders to take construction. And the squad leader did it bailed out and capped the flag. During, neither of those orders I gave you did you say something along the lines of: “Hey we under fire, hot LZ; can’t do that commander, request a different route, or simple ok…”. You just simply ignored me...

As the commanding officer in charge of units at that time I was deemed responsible in trying to gain victory at any means. If it meant for you to get out of the chopper then you get out of the chopper. That’s how chain of command works! Now if you have a problem with me cussing; then send me a PM we can resolve it there.

After I kicked you, did you come back and say hey h7 that wasn't very nice you could have said it nicer (thru VOIP and text). I told you if you had a problem with me kicking you for not following orders then take it to the forums....

That may I add was the only time you spoke to me in VOIP or text....

After the first couple times you yelled to hop out of the chopper, I left the squad and rejoined giving the new squad leader, who was in a jet, command. I could be wrong, but I don't remember hopping in the F-35. I remained in the chopper with my pilot. If I am wrong, I apologize. But since I did not want to hop out of the chopper at that time, I gave squad leader to someone else. You are right, I should have said something back after you gave the commands. Instead of responding I just left and rejoined the squad.

That would be correct. I heard the issues ordered over VoIP. I tried myself to help motivate people as a player on the server. Preferring to try to educate and motivate the team to a WIN, instead of using the hard ball approach. Sometimes that hard ball approach is needed. Thus why H7 went commander to try to help direct the team.

Unfortunately, just surrendering the squad lead position doesn't mean a whole lot when orders aren't followed. I have one question. As squad leader did you relay the message about capping flags before you left the squad and did you at least let whomever you gave the position too understand what the commander wanted?

Now as far as the game play, it simply amazes me that we stomped the opposing team into the ground by using soldiers on the ground to cap flags the first round of that map as MEC. When faced with the same situation as we put the previous USMC team in. Our team did just what they did. Stayed in air assets and simply refused to defend flags and make a fight of it.

What's even more hilarious is the fact that for the last half of the previous round, I heard guys in a squad I was leading making comments about them not trying to take flags. I say all of this because I witnessed poor decision making on the part of the squad leaders on at that time.

To step out of the Squad Leader position because one doesn't like orders doesn't hold much weight with me. Some of the same people who complained about getting bombed the previous round at least earned a WIN that first round. Then when they get faced with having toys, racking up kill points, or actually playing to WIN the game, they get stupid. It's nothing personal Kailere. It's business, Admin business.

You were given an order and not only failed to comply, but further more quit your job of leadership, because you thought that would excuse you from being a teamplayer.

You are of no help to your team and a quitter of leadership under orders.

Quite frankly, by your own admission of your actions, you qualified for a ban.

Your commander is your commander, a leading officer of the team. If you can't follow orders from your borrowed time that the admins granted you for whatever reason, then save yourself and the team some time, because I am issueing an order as of now, that if you pull this behavior again on our server, it is ordered, that you are to be banned at that instance, no warnings, attempts, or questions ask. So either you get with the team and the program or go to another server that don't care to work as a team and enjoy the game to the fullest.

After I left and came back I said something to the extent of "The commander was yelling at me to hop out of the chopper and get a flag. He's probably saying that to you now." But that's about all I said, unfortunately.

And fair enough, I should have listened to the commander the first time - I was just too busy staying in my own little world of wanting to be in the chopper. I am wrong.

One thing I do respect is on a later round when I went commander, I gave h7g6f5 commands, and he followed them. This let's me know that I can expect the teamwork from admins that they expect from me.
