Thread: Inappropriate Admin Message/ Lack of admin controlling team - CSS No AWP/Auto

Today -8/27/11- on de_crane, on the No AWP/Auto server around 12:40:

So in playing on crane today I was T side calling. The whole map I feel like I'm wrestling with the team to actually follow the call, never felt like anyone expressed any confusion from the call, just lack of following through. First it was little things like when told "first four do _____" and the first four would run a different way (towards the called site still). Then as the map progressed, the team got more chit chatty, and would be talking excessively at the beginning of the round, ignoring any shushes, and starting to more drastically miss the call/not follow the call. It got to a point where I would say something, and 4 or 5 would not run to follow the call. As this progressed, I in my inability to be diplomatic became more aggravated and vocal as I'm sure anyone reading this knows I do. Through all of this the admin on my team does nothing to tell the team to cut the chatter, or follow the call, but does find the time to first in voice chat tell me to calm down, and then at one point proceed to say:

"(ALL) ADMIN:
ab1tar, you need to relax or quit CS"

I find this post first off to be very unprofessional, a bit offensive, and uncalled for! While I was a bit upset, it was entirely from the lack of team playing on my team, and the lack of any admin action to have the team listen more.


If anything is unclear I am more than willing to expound, and name names as needed. Since admins are anonymous I decided to wait to give any names until asked, or to give by PM.

I do want to make clear to all that I am in no way attempting to defend the way I was acting, as it was grossly inappropriate as well.

I will chime in here since no one else will. Being an admin was on it looks like he thought the server was running fine. Remember admins are different though, some run the server differently. I am thinking if you want this taken care of you will need to present what admin was on.

As far as the warning to you. I have seen you get overly excitied to the point it's distracting. However though it has never been an issue with me because it is frustraiting when people do not follow the calls etc... Like I said all admins are different.

After fully investigating the situation and talking to all involved parties no admin abuse is found. The situation was clearly less than ideal, both from a player and admin perspective. The admin in question allowed the stressful situation get a bit out of hand - he has been educated on better ways to deal with similar situation and admits that he was out of bounds. Furthermore, abitar admits his frustration got the better of him.

Both the admin in question and abitar were in the wrong. These things happen, and this is the appropriate place to address these issues.
