What is Squad

This is from the developers of Project Reality which was built with bf2 engine. Squad is built with the unreal engine. If you liked PR then you will enjoy squad and for those who thought PR was slow the current version of squad is in alpha so the maps are small. Imagine bf2 size maps. No UAV. You have to hunt down the enemy with intel and hearing gunfire. You capture flags like bf but the capture and defense of flags takes longer. Teamwork is crucial not only in terms of your 9 man squad but communication between squad leaders is extremely important. The comms are busy. We have primed servers from 0 players to full in less than a half hour. Server usually stay full and are difficult to get in.

Sounds like my kind of a game,i would definately buy this one but not at the moment.
Got burned out on one too many early acces games lately(rust,dayz,ARK etz etz)

Played a bit. Plays almost exactly like PR did...except people actually play it.

bought it when it released around this time last year and was not impressed. I hear there have been a lot of changes but I haven't been drawn back to it.

Well damn, I was liking everything it advertised, especially that there's no EA tag on it. Didn't get a chance to try it out yet though.

I couldn't even play on servers during the free weekend. Apparently AMD processors perform like ass for Squad. Low FPS, lots of blurring when moving even though it was disabled in settings, and would crash after a minute. I'll have to revisit the game after I build my new rig.
