Been on a few more times since then. A couple nights ago it was hot; full server, mix of noobs and regs, many moments of epic win and of noob fail, and a few bright moments when someone started getting The Clue. Langrad had, from what I could hear (as his teammate) just as much fun again.
Last night was tough. The server primed before I got there, but it was mostly non-regs. When the ratio of newcomers is high, and there's only 1 or 2 regs, it's hard to get the teamplay going.
So that's one week from DOMINATOR's original post:
From what I saw, there is a large volume of new players coming into TPG's TF2 server. Each one is a potential recruit. When we have a core of regs and admins on, it's great. With so many new players, there is more work shepherding the uninitiated.

Well whats hard is you can show teamplay with many regs on. You can say look at what that medic and X did with some backup! Listen to that communication! But when its just 1 or 2 you have to encourage it through VOIP. Calm and classy only gets you so far... What kills me is when you know your team can win, if you could just get them to all attack at once. Recent memory is badwater final point its right near the cusp of falling in but snipers want to hang really far back, enges want to hang really far back, etc. Couldnt "encourage" enough people to get in there and finish it.
