For the last month or so, since that massive update (with all the weapon changes) Ive been having a serious lag problem. My ping with creep into the 900's and stay there. Ive tried our lovely server and many randoms with no difference. Sometimes the lag is right off the bat, then goes away, but will eventully come back. Makes the game unplayable. Ive also been waiting on some updates, that can fix it sometimes. Also tried validating game files, which all checks out. Any suggestions?

After triple checking my internet connection wasnt the problem, I deleted all my local content. Re installed. Helped a lot, but still running highish and irregular pings. I tried several different servers and it was consistent. Short story shorter, I can play tf2 again without punching holes in the wall. Hopefully I can get back into the swing with you's guy's.
p.s. If any of this rings a bell for anybody later let me know if I can improve this somehow. But no emergency
