As long as the heavy is competent he's normally the best working with the medic. Pyros can be awesome when ubered, but it's very situational. Soldiers can do a lot of good as well but aren't very effective for an ubercharge. Those 4 rockets fire quickly but the reload is very slow. A pyro protecting the heavy/medic combo is awesome btw. Anyone gets close to your medic and they're toast. The heavy can keep his eyes forward.

    Hmmmn.
I'm more partial to medic + pyro, or medic + Soldier... I've really wreaked some havoc as a soldier with a medic by my side.
Got 6 kills in a row yesterday, would've been higher but a pyro burned us to death. :'(
I challenge you to get 15 or 20 kills in a row with a soldier or a pyro, though. 15 or 20 kills while in the midst of combat.

Heavies are slow, but once they get closer than long range, everything dies.

Exactly, the rocket reload sucks... Waste of uber time.
Generally, a medic, even when not uber, is extremely useful for any class- I'm always looking for either a pyro, soldier, heavy, or another medic when I'm a medic.
Nothings funner than having one medic on a heavy, and then healing that medic... making it a threeway.
Way more confusing to the team, easier for one medic to hide and one to run out there... it's so fun.
15 to 20? I could do it if I had a good enough medic.. and was around some ammo packs... well... nah, I don't think I could do that unless I was against a really poop team.
What I love about TF2 is since it's team oriented, you get alot of guys using their microphones, or even just LISTENING to the microphone chat... TTP will strive in this game, like any other- no doubt about it.

My one issue with being a heavy is that ammo gets burned up quick... It's hard not to be firing all the time, when I'm running out doors and there's like 10 guys out there, I'm going rambo and firing at anything, at any distance... things are bound to get fired at.
    Party's over when ammo's gone. :'(

If you have a medic healing you then you don't have much to worry about most of the time. Don't bother firing if you're not at fairly close range and with an open shot. Run to get into a better position and then open up on those 10 guys.

Disclaimer: This advice will occasionally get you killed by well placed sticky bombs or a pesky sniper.

    YAY STICKY BOMBS!

    Boo snipers.

Also, while not firing at long range is okay, you'll quickly memorize where the ammo pick ups are, and start running and gunning. The main thing to remember is that if an enemy hides behind something, shoot when he comes out, not when he's hiding.
