Thread: TF2 Competitions,

Punisher, that is an incredible idea. At least regarding reservist competitions for Tf2. As we're getting to know each other and bringing in new people into the TTP community (everyone who plays with us and has voicecomm usually wants to check out the forums and community to get involved) who I know are often different from the Source playerbase (over 20 or so people I've seen in the past weeks who don't play Source or BF, but are active shooter players).

While the game is new, while our popularity is obviously so pipin' hot during primtime hours (which seems to be the ten hours after school/work ends, lasting until the wee hours in the morning), from a business asset perspective, increasing the demand for reserved slots even more by having competitions in the "new market" of the TF2 environment could rapidly promote new players, TTP members, and reservists.

ugh. I cant believe i wrote about business perspectives. As an artist it makes me vomit, but since im working on my MA for Arts Administration, i guess that crap is starting to sink in. Redeye, shoot me if I do this again, but I do think its a relative perspective.

If I understand it correctly your talking about having reservist only events where we can compete against each other?

I know they wouldn't shut down the regular server, but I have no idea if there is an instancing thing like there is for the other game servers that we use for practices and scrims.

Other servers have monthly events on those practice servers where people sign up in advance and are split into teams to fight on specific maps. That is a shitload of fun and hopefully we'll have something like that here too.
