yeah, originally the red medic could poison blue players and vise versa.

Yeah those were the days. Poison a member of the other team, and if they didn't know better, they would run into the spawn point and infect everyone who spawns till they died. Lot of abuse by grievers that would switch to the other team and team up with a medic on the opposing team to infect the whole team.

I can see why they took that out.

I can see how it was a pain, but it was an effective tool for the medic and gave him a little more of a role than just healing and shooting with his tranq gun every now and then. It was a good way to kind of stick it to someone trying to kill you.

The medic is no gimp. The syrringe gun and bonesaw are pretty deadly.

I wasn't trying to imply that they were, just saying they had more options before and I kind of miss that about the medic. I love killing someone with my bonesaw and syrringe gun, but I enjoyed killing them more with the posion kit thing from TFC.
