Suspended From XBOX Live
I just got an email saying that I was banned due to violating the Code Of Conduct or Terms of Use, because of this content
Bio: Team Ragequit
Can anyone tell me how this violates the Code of Conduct? It's not illegal or racist, so can it just be anything some idiot gets offended by? It seems a little ridiculous to be suspended for 2 months for this, without a warning and never having a problem before.

How do you know it was the bio? You must have gotten a ton of reports to get suspended for that long...
My buddy got suspended for something in his bio awhile back. He was banned for three days and everything in his profile was set to "Code of Conduct" for about a month before he was allowed to change it.
I find it hard to believe that you were banned for your bio. Have you been sending out any rude messages lately? Piss off someone with a lot of friends willing to file complaints against you?
BTW in case you have not tried yet: Don't even waste your time calling customer support. You'll be connected to someone in India that is just going to read from a script. If you ask them why you were banned they will tell you to read the Code of conduct and terms of service and figure it out for yourself. Total waste of time.

I was sent an email saying that it was the Bio. Thing is that it says 4/2/2010, which I'm not sure is tomorrow or April 2, since people set up the dates differently. I don't send people hateful emails, and hardly ever trashtalk. The email says, '...suspended due to inappropriate content in the profile for your gamertag... Bio: Team Ragequit.' I did call in since it doesn't make any sense, and the guy seemed to think 2 months is way too long for a first suspension. He said it'd have to be really serious to get banned that long for the first suspension.

You'll most likely be unbanned tomorrow. Honestly, that's a very weird thing to be banned for, but I wouldn't put too much energy into it. Just change your bio when you can, and I'd take care of the rochelle thing as well; just in case.
Microsoft is very odd about what they consider appropriate or not on xbox live profiles. Which I find is a very odd place to enforce the rules; almost no one looks at them. I know they try to avoid the homophobic issue by banning anyone with the word gay anywhere in their profile or gamertag. Which also ironically harms anyone who is brave enough to identify themselves as gay on Xbox Live.
