Re: CONVOY
it was fun and took a good amount of getting used to.
Snipers can have a field day and attacking between the trucks with anything OTHER than a sniper rifle is just stupid, lol.
I never even made it to the front of the enemy truck to see how the engineers were getting to the roof to setup teleporters. Good times.

Re: CONVOY
Maybe just me, but I didn't really enjoy the map that much.
When I first saw it I was like Holy Hell this looks cool.
Nukes - rolling - with you on them?!?!?!
But then I joined and saw 4 snipers and three spies on my team.
Which is all I really found this map to be good for. The layout begs snipers as there are sooooo many open shooting lanes and you have to go spy to get across dependably as there are only 2 fukin ways across that are easy as shit to watch.
So my vote -
good concept, poor execution.
Needs more cover and more ways to flank and surprise the other team.

Re: CONVOY
That's generally my major complaint of all custom maps. They are made by fans - who even though they REALLY may want to be objective, favor a particular play style and build a map that favors it.
Professional developers who work for game-houses have an interest in building a balanced map that allows for success with all of the various classes. The same goes for CPL maps that are popular in leagues - they are designed to be fair and challenging maps that require teamwork.
Try as they might, custom map makers, while talented in design and creativity, struggle in areas where the big guys succeed. Valve has teams of people test-playing the maps they release to ensure as much fairness as possible. The private guys might have a few clanmates to test for them...just not the same.
