Thread: Where did your nickname/handle come from?

Some of the names I see on the server confuse the hell out of me as to what they mean and where they came from. How about a quick survey of the origin of you nickname.

I chose addrake just from my initials. I have a thing about anonymity on the internet making people unaccountable for their actions so on almost all forums and games I use my name or initials.

on steam I've added 'th colorblind' because I'm colorblind and keep wasting my ammo on my own team....I find a dispenser eventually and figure it out

Ewok comes from ~6 years ago when I was in college playing original CS with a bunch of dorm buddies. I forgot why it was chosen, but we all had interesting names. One guy was PurpleFlyingMonkeyDinosaurs :9

Interestingly, my handle is Kndroc everywhere else *but* TTP. When I first found TTP back in october, I was logging into the server as Kndroc, and then for nostalgic reasons, I switched my name to Ewok temporarily, but as fate would have it then I started getting to know everyone, but then they knew me as Ewok. So I just made it stick for TTP and registered on the forums as Ewok.

I've had Kndroc for about ~10 years, and it's an old table-top RPG character I had.

BAHAHAHA poor guy.....you did make me laugh for about a minute straight, as I imagined a heavy just blasting EVERYONE around him, while everyone else is thinking, "Wtf is this guy doing?"

Mine was originally Corporal Punishment, but I figured it was time for a promotion.

I've shortened it to Mayhem 'cause I got tired of people calling me 'General'. Now if they called me 'Sir', that'd be better

When I was 10ish I played this text based java battle thing using a D&D damage system and wanted a name I thought would fit. Been using it ever since.

I play the pipes, and I am frequently accused of being a little crazy.

Besides, it tends not to be used too much. If it is used MadAustinPiper works...
