whats another way to set up the reserved slots? can you make it so that the open slots are actually open and not for admins/reservists?

I think that guy meant you can set it up so the server will not even let you try to connect if the 2 remaining slots are for admins/reservists. I've heard talk about it being possible before but didn't think it was possible.

Say our server is at 22/24, there are 2 slots "open" but they are reserved. Right now it'll let you "join" but promptly remove you saying this slot is reserved for admins and reservists. I think that one on their forums is trying to say that when you have 22/24 with 2 slots being reserved, it'll not even let you join until the server is at or below 21/24 players.

Might be something to look into more, but I did not think that was possible for any Steam game otherwise I'd think we'd have ours set up that way unless there is another problem setting them up that way.

boy, if that is possible it could solve the problem of people spam-joining and causing lag, be it malicious or ignorant.

Well, actually my main post to that thread was a post about how good TTP is.

i just got l4d 1 and 2 on pc and i need a team make for a lets play series and i use skype, so add funnyjunkownz on skype if your interested, and if your online, text me or something, oh and also please have a microphone so we can communicate and stuff in the lets play
