Your Ideas for Special Infected (Remake)
I started this back up because the other thread is so old that it has a hell of a page count.
RULES: DO NOT USE ANY CONCEPT SPECIAL INFECTED LEAKED ONTO THE INTERNET, I WILL KNOW AND YOU WILL BE POINTED OUT. i.e. the screamer, etc.
The Alter
This is an idea I would hope Valve was actually considering. The Alter is a sneaky infected much like the hunter, he makes no audible noise and is meant for versus gameplay. He can cling onto the walls and the ceiling, and if he runs up on the survivors and a hit is landed, it actually alters the spawn time for one spawn per player and summons the horde. So instead of 30 seconds you'd only wait 5, and for players already spawned in it would be for their next respawn. It would have to be an enabled option not to alienate new players, but he'd be an interesting piece to an already great formula.
So what's your ideas?ending the apocalypse....1 bullet at a time

I don't know what you'd call it but I always thought a Hunter/Boomer hybrid would be cool. Instead of pouncing it could just lurk in the shadows and then tackle a survivor. If you kill it by shooting it will explode like a boomer and attract a horde if the bile gets on you. You can shoot it from a distance and kill it. If it's on a survivor you have to melee it to get it off of the survivor since shooting it will cause it to explode and get bile on said survivor. It's primary attack would be tackling and clawing a survivor and the secondary attack would be the bile explosion caused from shooting it. I guess you could keep it from replacing the boomer by maybe having it attract a smaller horde instead of a large on like what the boomers attract.
