A couple general requests for the admins

To whom it may concern:

The intro song is too loud. Could we get it re-recorded at about 60% of it's current volume? When I first join the server I have to take my headphones off to keep my ears from bleeding, and forget "google"...that doesnt work anyway, nor does "settings" to turn off the sounds.

I had some stuff about CTF Well, but it was handled in another thread.

We are patiently waiting for Ewok to add the map vote functionality to the Lonestar admin mod. God bless Ewok in his tireless efforts.

P.S. I cant imagine how hard the coding of an admin mod with ingame commands for players is. We miss RTV and Timeleft and such. Never forget how much we love you! Thanks, Ewok!

P.P.S. If you are a player who misses "Timeleft" and "Nextmap", go to your console and type "bind f9 timeleft" and "bind f8 nextmap" (without the " " marks and then you will be able to use these 2 commands by just pressing F8 and F9. I find this VERY helpful.

I also have to suggest the same about granary, it sometimes is a fun map but people seem to drop when that map is being played. The other day we had a full server (22 people) and it dropped to about 14 people after the first round of granary.

I think its fun, the gates at the beginning are a bit annoying but that map is still fun

I agree with the music, I can never hear people talking.

But I love the CTF games, I don't know why people don't love them, they are more about teamwork and less about killing. You have to work with your team to get the sentries down, the scout in, and the intel out. I like CTF well, and 2fort, they are both fun. And one thing that makes TTP what it is is the fact that all maps inteded to be played are in the server.

If they started dropping maps by personal preference, we would be left with server running no maps...

Frag has an excellent point. This is just something we will have to deal with until we get a voting system of some kind running. I hate ctf well just as much as the next guy, and maybe since that map is the most hated (I smell a vote) it can be put out of rotation.

As ctf_well is a standard map, I doubt it will ever be dropped. And it will probably be a moot point once rtv is working again.

Also, if the TF2 server keeps getting more popular, the powers-that-be might open a second instance of the server that focuses just on the most popular maps.

What about the intro music? I agree that it rocks, but it is also a little loud. Every time I join I scare the crap out of either myself or others with my Klipsch blasting Zombie.

Is there anyone out there who plays quite a lot of add-on maps versus matches?

because I enjoy versus, but after several years of the same old maps, it does tend to get dull, and there are some really good community maps out there, but no-one ever seems to play them in public matches.

I think the only one I've ever really come across in public ones, is I Hate Mountains..which is good, but you're lucky if you get get a 2 vs 2 going.
