Help cant connect (pretty please)

So I just got TF2 in the orange box. I enjoy the company of the TTP servers in COD4 so tried to hop in the TTP Tf2 server.

When I try to join, it looks like the map is loading in the bottom right hand corner, at the top i see "you are on your way to badlands", when it fully loads i see "Disconnected".

Any suggestions? i can load other servers with no issues. I tired to load off makeout in Xfire to see if I could have any luck that way, no luck.

Well, assuming you are fully patched and all that jazz, is there room in the server when you join? The server will generally sit at 22/24 with two slots reserved for admins and reservists. If you do not have a reserve slot and try to join when the server is at 22 or above, it will not allow you to get through the loading screen.

Glad to see you in this neck of the woods DODTurban

As a heads up, the TF2 server is pretty busy during prime-time, with a lot of reservists connecting. For this server it's completely worth it to get a reserved slot.

Before I had one, I could spend up to a half hour "waiting" for a slot to open, only to be kicked off 10 minutes later as a reservist got on. $5 a month to be able to play when I want to, whenever I want to, is totally worth it.
