Console problem or keyboard problem?

For the last couple weeks (since the patch I guess), I've had intermittent periods where my ~ key doesnt bring up the console.

I mash on it and nothing happens, I lightly press it, nothing happens....I tap tap tap it and nothing hap-hap-happens.

Then I wait a couple minutes and press it and suddenly it works.

Is this a problem with TF2 that anybody else has noticed or could it be a hardware problem on my end?

try rubbing it gently

Try opening up your steam community then closing it again and try again.
