Thread: Disable Beginner Info Boxes

I have scoured the internet for this info with no solution. I reinstalled Steam and now Im getting those information boxes at the beginning of each round telling beginners what to do (capture the control point, etc...). Those bastards stay up a good 10-15 seconds at the start of a round and its quite annoying. I have looked all around the in-game options to turn them off (couldve sworn they were there) but I cant find it anywhere. Is there just a setting in a cfg file I can change? Thanks for the help.

Found this...sounds like it might work.

go to

C:\Program Files\Steam\SteamApps\XXXXXXXXX\team fortress 2\tf\media

open "viewed.res" with notepad

change the view number to "50" or higher on each map.
