Thread: TF2 Update Blues

Alright so I went about 3 weeks of playing with out issue and then the update last week or the week before(can't remember the date) threw a wrench in the system. Has anyone else had issues with TF2 since the most recent update? I can get in game but it is very choppy almost as if I was lagging hardcore but my ping is at ~55 and that is where it has always been on any TTP server.

I have update everything, sound and video drivers. Any tips? Or similar experiences?

Are you running any anti-virus software in the background?

Check your graphics settings, etc.

What are your specs? click start>run> then type "msconfig" with no "" marks. Then go to the startup tab and uncheck what you dont ABSOLUTELY HAVE to have running. Restart, see if that helps.

it wouldn't be a HW issue, my computer is certainly beefy enough to handle TF2 as it did before the last round of updates. I know I usually Reformat myself...trust me I do it all the time however :3 my friend from school never returned my disc (WinXP 64) and I have not had an oppotunaty to get myself a new one from the bookstore.

my AV scans once in the early morning hours. I don't DL much/open much email...honestly TTP is really the only place I go aside from my school website.

Graphics haven't changed or shouldn't have.

I'll look though

still in the same boat after trying all of the above. I am reinstalling WinXP64 this weekend so hopefully I'll be back in action w/my wrench and my medic life saving help
