Name change?

Ok maybe I'm just stupid. But i still can't figure out how to change my name. When i join the server i already have a name(tehduck) but i want it to be LuckyDucky....i know you can change it by typing "setinfo name LuckyDucky" into the console but i don't want to have to do that everytime a new round starts, so is there any more...ummm permanent way?

change your name through steam and it will transfer over

If you go through options and change it there does it still change back when you join a game? If you change it there it should write it to the cfg and unless you have a name set somewhere in your autoexec config it should stay. Or you can go to your config and do it manually (C:\Program Files\Steam\steamapps\username@whatever\team fortress 2\tf\cfg) and edit config.cfg. Find where it says - name "(tehduck)" and replace it with - name "LuckyDucky"
