Re: Worthwhile?
The only two games I play on PC anymore are TF2 (took it up recently)and CS:S (playing for way too long). TF2 is a great multiplayer and focuses on team strategy more than individual skills to win. Its fast paced and has a pretty good learning curve from what Ive played of it so far. My favorite part about it is you can assist your team with classes that don't revolve around putting the crosshair on the bad guy like the medic or engineer which gives me a nice break from CS:S.

Re: Worthwhile?
Totally worth it in my opinion!
If the cartoon design doesn't bother you... This is possibly the best balanced, best designed multi play game out there. It's simple enough that new players can pick up the basics fairly quickly, but complex enough to require superb team work, and give you plenty to work on as you move on to mastery.
All the classes require a different play style. They move at different speeds, have different health, and the weapons are fairly specific in their function. The array of classes keeps things from getting boring. If you're tired of one for the time being, there are 8 more to choose from, all quite different in their role.
This game still makes me laugh, too. The cartoon design, and voice acting is just great!
I fully recommend this one.
