Thread: TF2 Problem

Idk why but when im trying to play tf2 on this computer it loads the the screen were it says TF2... but it still says it loading at the bottom right hand corner... and eventually just turns off TF2 and steam completely.. but its weird... some times it even says failed to create d3d devise or something like that.
its making me made since im on this compute most of the time, and cant play with my friends that play TF2. So if u know whats wrong can anyone tell me how to fix it.

try doing start->run->dxdiag

Then run the direct3d tests on the video tab, and let them run all the way through the tests...

This has helped me in the past with occasional crashes when it tries to connect to a server, and exits out of the game.

Try going into the launch options (Right click TF2, click properties) and add the line -autoconfig

Or try lowering the directx graphics in that same launch options line. Add -dxlevel 81 and try that. Or try -dxlevel 7 if 81 doesn't work.
