As a heavy crits not working...

Sometimes, a lot of times, the crits from my havy gun just don't do crit power on a enemy. It hits them, but it dosen't Crit them. It's starting to piss me off, because now on every Rare occasion, my crit's work. But most of the time they just don't work. It's really weird, and I know I hit them.

Yeah I've noticed this too, I think. The color of your bullets change to crits but then it doesn't make the noise or show the little sign when it hits them.
Maybe there is something to explain this?

I've seen this too but I thought it was a range issue. From a certain distance my crits just stop working (as heavy). Up close, they always land as a crit when they should (natural or kritzkrieg).

Well I hear the sound too, but it is good to know that it isen't just me. For me though, It's a on/off thing. Range dosen't matter.; Kritskreig always works though.

Couple things....

Heavy bullets spray like an ak47 in css.... You could be missing on 80% of your bullets fired from any kind of distance. Also crits may be coming out but not in a 1-2-3 fashion. They could be 1-17-18-25.... kind of thing... This is all speculation.

I have seen this too... the bullets turn red or green or whatever and look like crits, but then just do normal damage. wtf.

maybe its a graphical glitch and you think your doing crits, but its still regular damage?

i dont know i got like 15 minutes played as heavy as opposed to hours on everything else.

I think that's exactly what it is -- a graphical error. However, I might have to submit that question to Steam/Valve, because I have the same problem and it seems like everyone else does. I do know that, when I'm actually "critting" as a heavy range doesn't matter.
