    I think you are all wrong. If this is going to be stunning people, it's going to take "wind up time" to hit, I think. No spamming base balls at a target. Sorta like a sniper.
    Also when you hit the ball, it's going to act like the Medi-gun. The ball is going to rapidly decend, not a clear shot, shit that'd be easy. 3 seconds is way to short, it's going to be 2-close, 3-med, 5-long (range)

    the sandman does in fact affect ubered opponents, just clearing that up. I'm not to worried about the baseball, I wouldn't give up my double jump in a serious match to the opportunity to stun someone for a few seconds.

    Maybe the pyro will be able to airblast the baseballs? it would make sense.

    It isn't a bullet so I'm betting they will be able too. Now wouldn't that just be priceless. Reflecting a crit rocket is satisfying but stunning a scout with their own baseball, running up and killing them with a taunt? Priceless....

    My guess is that the baseballs will also be fairly slow moving and easy for a moving target to dodge.

    I think that is quite fair to have the scout do this, it makes a class that was all but useless on defense into being an interesting detail.
    I've actually been doing pretty decently on defense as a scout recently, especially making use of the terrain to take out medics/snipers and spy checking with my baseball bat. You know what time it is now, though?

    Im hoping it will have arc and random side to side variations on trajectory. Also a limited number of balls per spawn/ammo loot. I think this will be used less than we are fearing due to the loss of double jump. I think new scouts will use but experianced scouts wont. An experianced scout who knows the value of double jump might use in specific situations....

    Yeah, I'm guessing it's going to be like the demoman stickies, but you can't move while charging up.

    Weird, I remember reading that valve removed concussion grenades and the spy tranquilizer gun because they didn't want players to deal with the frustration of getting stunned or woosy because its annoying. Wonder if the spy will get his tranq gun back eventually instead of a revolver.
