When to Kritz vs Uber?
I would consider myself a conservative medic, particularly when it comes to the unlock weapons. I've used kritz maybe once since I got it, and ineffectively. My general medic strategy is to stay behind our main group and heal multiple people vs picking one guy to run around with, and uber in only when we have a target.
So...If I were to branch out, what situations is this kritzcrieg good for?
Are there certain maps (or offense/defense on a map) where you would rather I use kritz than good old uber?
To those medics who do use it, do you need to have a more aggressive playstyle to make it work?
Thanks,

Re: When to Kritz vs Uber?
Easy question.
Uber is for offense rushing out the gate. Trick is you get 4-5 medics charge up and uber out. You cant stop them.
Kritz is for defense. Charge it wait at the door and when the gates open kill as many as you can. Catches them off guard.

Re: When to Kritz vs Uber?
I play medic a fair bit, and I've used krits very rarely. To be effective with krits you have to be playing with a very good player who can pump out a lot of area damage while staying alive. It's a lot trickier to use than uber, which lets you position yourself with impunity due to the invulnerability. It's best used with heavies, soldiers and demo since they can pump out the most damage, or with a pyro in close quarters. It's probably never useful with only one medic on a team, I've mostly seen it used when there are three medics. The bonus to it is that krits charges a lot faster than ordinary uber, but the player you're krit-ing needs to have a high skill level to properly take advantage of it.
That's my thoughts, anyways. Not exactly an expert.

Re: When to Kritz vs Uber?
DarkArconio is pretty much spot-on - the important factor in a kritzkrieg is not really the map or whether you are on attack/defense (though it is generally easier to make use of on defense, where you have a stable position to fire from and fall back to, and where the other team is more likely to be clustered), but the skill level of the teams involved. The better the players and their communication, the more effective the kritzkrieg becomes - both because your team is better able to make use of it, and because the uber tends to decrease in value against high-skill teams who are better able to compensate.
I wouldn't say it's never useful with only one medic, but in general, it is better to get an uber medic or two before branching out into the kritz.
I love kritz, and think it's a great option for medics who are confident of their skill and that of their team-mates.

Bah, it is useful with one medic in a defensive situation defending a point. Add any class to the medic and the point is cleared most of the time (YMMV).
enf-Jesus its been like 12 minutes and you're already worried about stats?! :-P
Bigdog-Sweet home Alabama you are an idiot.

Yeah, I agree, but the problem is you need to switch the weapon and in other situations in the same fight it may well be better to have an uber, while when you need a clear a point to prevent a capture, and uber works very well as well. I'm not saying it wouldn't be useful at times, just it's better to default to a uber with only one medic, unless you know what you're doing.

Re: When to Kritz vs Uber?
I like the Kritz more then the Uber. I cannot stand the pressure of having an uber, and maybe losing it...
It's very useful of Defense, but on Offense Uber is best.Me: "But the Gunslinger is so much more fun..."
Langrad: "We're here to win, not to..."
Me: "Have fun?" "Hahaha"
