I don't think it works that way. You can't change what other people see, only what YOU see. How would it help YOU to see somebody carrying an incorrect weapon?

Well, I walk saying that under the assumption that you we talking about outlawing changing what others see. I couldn't possibly think of any reason of not letting you change what you see, assuming you can't make models glow through walls or other exploits like that. If such exploits applied, they could be used for both gun and char models, so different rules for them wouldn't make sense.

Not that I know anything about skins and that kind of thing, so I don't really know what's possible.
