Thread: Turn off Sniper Reticule?

Ever since they added the mandatory crosshairs to the sniper rifle, I haven't been able to noscope a thing. I'm sure it's just a weird psychological block - after all, how can it be harder to hit something with a crosshair than without? - but I nevertheless want to turn it off. Does anyone know of an easy way to do this?

here's my guess, I haven't tested it though.

cl_crosshairfile "" looks like the command to use the default crosshair. no blank or value, just ""

then use cl_crosshairfile "x" with "x" being the numeric value of the crosshair you normally use, such as 1, 2 etc. when you want your default one back on.

I think you just need to focus on putting that crosshair on the head, and left-clicking at that exact moment. That seems to be the main aspect of no scope shooting.

Or you can bind crosshair 1 and 0.

I just use whatever cross-hair is the little dot. It makes me aim my shots carefully as well.
